About Your Sure Start Centre -
At Sure Start we have a range of health, early years and adult services for local families.
Based within the The Danson Centre, we take a regenerative approach to the delivery of our services. We passionately believe that if we are to succeed in helping our families, we must work to raise the standards of the services available to the whole community and not just a small part of it. With that in mind we have a wide range of services on offer within our Centre, at the core of which is integrated working.
You can contact your Health Visitor / GP or local Children's Centre if you would like advice on your child's health or education.
The Children's Centre team is made up of:

  • Centre Management

  • Activity Leaders

  • Communications & Administration Workers

  • Early Years Workers

  • Family Support & Outreach Workers

  • Health Visitors

  • Midwives

  • Public Health Practitioners

  • Extended Schools Coordinator

  • Speech & Language Therapists

  • Public Health Nutritionist

Health Top Tip -
Make sure your child has at least two portions of fruit and three portions of vegetables every day. But stay clear of the packaged products that make a point of saying "100% fruit" - just stick to fresh, unadulterated fruit and vegetables - it's much cheaper and better for your child's teeth and overall health.
